It is estimated that as many as 15% of dogs suffer from atopic dermatitis. This is a chronic and very troublesome disease that significantly affects the quality of life of both animals and their caregivers. At Bioceltix, we are working on a solution that can genuinely help change this.
Our project focused on developing a cell‑free biological drug for canine #AD has received a positive evaluation from NCBR in the “SMART Path” (FENG) competition.
This is an important step for us in the development of new veterinary therapies. The project focuses on creating a biotechnological product based on biomolecules secreted by mesenchymal stem cells. We believe that this approach — leveraging the anti‑inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of the secretome — has strong therapeutic potential in treating AD in dogs.
Thanks to the recommended funding of over PLN 15.1 million, we can accelerate our R&D efforts and continue developing innovative therapies for animals. The total value of the project is approximately PLN 19.5 million. We will carry out the project together with our scientific partner — Jagiellonian University.
The project received a positive evaluation and met all mandatory criteria. The next step is the formal stage related to signing the funding agreement.
